if humans are priceless and our time on earth is finite, paycheques should be priceless too. but in practice, your hourly wage is basically what someone judged your time to be worth.

so if you get $15 per hour and you live for 80 years, you're worth about 10,5 million dollars. 👍

in English, when you have an orgasm, you "come"

in Norwegian, it "goes" for you

"det gikk for ham" - it went for him

i think it's meant in the same sense you might say that someone's lights went out. or like the French figure of speech for an orgasm, "le petit mort" - the little death

Linux elitism makes me sick. I'm tired of people screaming at me what I should be doing on my computer. Shouldn't the linux desktop be about freedom, not about basement people with super inflated egos narrowing your choices?

Please don't be a linux elitist. It's not healthy for the community and your social life.

there are people who will read the manual cover to cover and they still need my help to solve the problem - and i did not read the manual cover to cover

i text a lot of nonsense to people. stuff i regret later. it's probably best, if you have to deal with me, to pay more attention to what i say in person or on the phone

the other day i told someone i don't read books cover to cover and he said "you don't know very much then" and i didn't know what to respond

but eventually i recovered, with the help of someone else who was present, and threw this quote back at him

i should consider one of those things where you go work on some farm in Europe for the summer and get free food and lodging, but maybe not because i now have commitments. i just wish they made me good money...

i'm a big fan of just trading favours and goods and leaving money out of it

if we could all just agree that nobody owes anyone any money, yet carry on as usual

oh wait, that's socialism

they're not "alcoholics"

they're people who thankfully did not commit suicide instead

if i'm not in debt to somebody, something's gone terribly wrong, because i've been in debt all my life

thing that happens all too often:

1. i have money
2. i buy happy things
3. i owe money

rinse and repeat.

i played ukulele on this track (and all the other instruments too but just focus on the ukulele):

at the maker space the other day a gorgeous woman dropped some snus in the trash and said "i'm a nasty person" and i was inclined to strongly disagree with that - "no, you're only human"

somebody told me "don't put the picture where you smoke on the dating site" - thing is, if she smokes a bit i'm okay with that - it would be hypocritical of me to demand that she lacks vices - i've got a good number of those myself - i'm all for rock and roll

i think i'm better looking than the the the typical preference
