@thor Hi! "Trattoria Popolare" is not literal "Popular Restaurant" with a connotation of "pop". "Trattoria" derive from "trattore" which is the tractor used by farmer. In general, "Trattoria" is a less formal restaurant, with courses similar to what you can find at home. In the past they were places in which farmer and proletarian would gather. Nowadays the term is used also by high end restaurant. Hope it is clear. Have a nice day!
